22 years ago, the Festival Cour des Capucins was launched with the aim of bringing contemporary dance to Luxembourg. Back then, nobody dared think that within only two decades, a colourful and diversified dance scene would develop in the Grand Duchy.

Today, Luxembourg is proud of the creative work of an increasing number of professional choreographers. Contemporary dance has become established as a recognised art form in our country, and the Festival reflects this accomplishment with its second volume as „Danz Festival Lëtzebuerg“, featuring nine pieces and excerpts from pieces by choreographers working in Luxembourg and the borderland.

For Luxembourg2007, the Festival will expand its geographical area and will invite dance groups and choreographers from the Greater Region.
