“SOLO, TRULY YOURS” - a woman, whose mind does not live alone.
Parallel personalities are intruding on a woman‘s mind. They are following and harassing her, even entertaining and pleasing her! Should she fi ght them or try to live peacefully side by side with them?

Our intention was to describe this, on the other hand calm coexistence, on the other hand merciless battle and confusion in between these extremes, by using different qualities of movements and also express various feelings and athmospheres that the movement would persuade to appear.

The woman shown in the solo is not grazy, even though the sidepersonalities are disturbing her. Every moment she is still fully aware of her state. She also knows that the sidepersonalities only appear to her and that they merely are part of the world inside her head.

The solo is not a story, it is kind of picture of a persons life...she could be me, she could be you!

After her studies at the National Ballet of Finland, at the Stuttgart Ballet and at the Cullberg Ballet in Sweden, Anu Sistonen cooperated with these places as well as with the West London School of Ballet. She is an independent choreographer since 2000. Her repertoire includes the pieces Shivering (2003), Unison (2003), Sibelius (2004), Timeline (2006). The personal work on her creations includes herself questioning the interaction between body and musical language. The on-stage presence of the musicians therefore bestows a very special atmosphere to her shows. This means that both influence each other – the dancers get inspired by the music and vice versa.
