NEEM is a piece to be taken as it is, as it was and as it will be. The people you watch will take it in the same way. They take a second to see what has happened, to fill in that second and create the next one as this one has already expired. We observe several short propositions of the same dance material while the musician has a parallel story not connected to the dancer - his disregard of what is happening near him changes the dance material. Only when you put the two together can you get the whole. The beginning and the end are not decided on by performers, but by a kitchen timer allowing the same duration to each segment of performance.
The performers' relation is uncertain and continuously changing with shifts in focus.
