«Une chambre pour deux», a space to wrap up your confidence, starts from the encounter between two women, dancing, forging their lives. They are a letter's thoughts on silk paper, erring and hidden. Between their skulls' uproar and the racing outer world, they become entwined. Opposite Myself – is that You?
Room, place of dream travels, secret places ; a closed room, whispers from the outside can be heard in the pure shade of gray and the “silence” of their bodies: Could it be the song of their skins travelling through the inside and outside room of the eye of the observer?
After classical dance studies, Aurore Gruel started to study contemporary dance at the age of 20 while still continuing to study philosophy. Since her arrival in Lorraine in 2001, she develops a dance coming from different artistic expressions: music, visual arts. Her road is the one of a continuous learning between lines and contradictions. Through relations (intern – extern), she explores her own identity. Her dance, instinctive and tamed, is a road narrowly made of the drainage of words.
Her company Ormone was created in Nancy during August 2004. Her work is part of a research project including the question of friction between languages ( dance, music, photography, installations). At the start, it’s in the real writing time (improvisation) that the propositions are being developped. The plays continuously change, coming from individual but still common searches.
