“In the beginning, there is the abyss of rupture. Then all attempt to bridge over. I choose eroticism as a transgression of this emptiness.”
Symphonie pour une dissolution deals about what I could call the end of feminine comedy.
It’s the progressive detachment of the system of dramatization of the means employed to bridge over; particularly those of seduction.
We can see the mise-en-abîme by cyclic sequences of each of those attempts, which by a last dance tend towards their own dissolution.
To let appear this status of fundamental lack which constitute each human being, that none presence, either even none picture fill in anymore.
A state of emptiness, origin of creation.
Camille Mutel created in June 2003 the company Li(luo). Most of the time, she dances solos, but also works in different artistica collaborations. She danced for: Masaki Iwana (Tokyo- Paris), Su-en (Stockholm), Cie Arts Vertébrés (Paris), Cie Lios (Rome) and also Akira Kasaï (Tokyo). She is influenced by the butô. For her, butô is a quest for her own dance, based on improvisation. |
